How do I select my Varvel RS series worm gearbox?
The RS gearbox can be configured according to your needs. Indeed, the Varvel RS gearbox can be equipped with a motor with a size between 56 and 160 with B5 or B14 mounting. You can replace a worm gearbox of an equivalent brand. However, the output shaft of your gearbox must be equal to that of the RS gearbox.
Next, you need to select the reduction ratio of your gearbox. We offer RS worm gearboxes with ratios between 5 and 100.

Our Varvel RT28 worm gearbox is configurable according to your needs. It can be equipped with a motor with a size between 56 and 132 with B5 or B14 mounting. (Do not hesitate to consult the selection plans to find the right gearbox).
To replace a worm gearbox of an equivalent brand, you must ensure that the output shaft of your gearbox is indeed equal to the RT gearbox.
Secondly, select the reduction ratio of your gearbox. We offer worm gearboxes with ratios between 7 and 100. To find out the output speed of your gearbox, simply take the rotational speed of your motor and divide it by the reduction ratio.
Finally, select the mounting method of your gearbox on your machine. This gearbox can be offered without option (the gearbox casing will allow it to be fixed to your machine), with a torque arm equipped with a silent block (steel plate fixed to the side of the gearbox), or an output flange.
