How to select your Varvel F RS28 worm gear reducer?
This reducer is equipped with a G-version motor-reducer coupling, ensuring direct and efficient torque transmission while facilitating assembly and maintenance operations. This design prevents the motor shaft from seizing in the reducer even after long periods of use, thus guaranteeing simple, fast, and economical maintenance.
Available reduction ratios
The reducer is available with a wide range of reduction ratios: 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 28, 40, 49, 56, 70, 80, 100, allowing precise adaptation of output speed and torque according to the needs of each industrial application. The reduction ratio makes it easy to determine the output speed by dividing the motor speed by the chosen ratio.
Machine mounting systems
The reducer can be installed in several configurations to adapt to all mechanical constraints with direct casing mounting (PC version), flange mounting (FA or FL type with standardized bolt circles), foot mounting, or installation with a torque arm equipped with silent blocks to absorb mechanical forces and vibrations. These solutions ensure flexible, stable, and durable integration on most industrial equipment.
Output shafts and configurations
The reducer is delivered standard with a Ø14 mm hollow shaft for compact and direct mounting but can also be configured with a single solid output shaft (AS) or a double solid output shaft (AD) depending on the application's needs.
Motor input flange configuration and compatibility
The reducer is compatible with various standardized electric motor configurations thanks to its motor input flanges. It can be equipped with IEC 56 B5 Ø120 or IEC 56 B14 Ø80 with coupling for a motor with a Ø9 x 20 mm shaft, or with IEC 63 B5 Ø140 or IEC 63 B14 Ø90 with coupling for a motor with a Ø11 x 23 mm shaft. These configurations ensure a precise mechanical connection between the motor and reducer, guaranteeing optimal torque transfer and simple installation.
The reducer is compatible with IEC 56B5 / IEC 56B14 / IEC 63B5 / IEC 63B14 motors.
