It replaces equivalent worm gearboxes from brands such as Bonfiglioli (W series), Motovario (MNRV series), STM (WMI series), or SERMES/TRANSTECNO (CM series). Made in Italy, our size 28 worm gearbox is ideal for equipping conveyors, mixers, pumps, etc. This gearbox has a Ø14mm output shaft and can be equipped with an output shaft, an output flange, or a torque arm.

How to configure your Varvel SRT028 / FRT028 / MRT028 worm gearbox?

Our Varvel worm gearbox RT28 is configurable according to your needs. It develops a maximum torque of 20 Nm. It can be equipped with a size 56 or 63 motor with B5 or B14 mounting.

To replace an equivalent worm gearbox, you must ensure that your gearbox's output shaft is indeed Ø 14 mm. This gearbox has a hollow shaft, a shaft exiting from one side, or a shaft exiting from both sides of Ø14.

Secondly, select the reduction ratio of your gearbox. We offer this worm gearbox with ratios from 7 to 100. To find the output speed of your gearbox, simply take the rotational speed of your motor and divide it by the reduction ratio.

Also select the type of gearbox input. We offer this gearbox for the following motors:

  • IEC 56B5 - Motor with a Ø9x20mm shaft and a 120mm diameter flange
  • IEC 56B14 - Motor with a Ø9x20mm shaft and an 80mm diameter flange
  • IEC 63B5 - Motor with a Ø11x23mm shaft and a 140mm diameter flange
  • IEC 63B14 - Motor with a Ø11x23mm shaft and a 90mm diameter flange

Finally, select the mounting method of your gearbox on your machine. This gearbox can be offered without options (the gearbox housing will allow it to be fixed to your machine), with a torque arm equipped with a silent block (steel plate fixed to the side of the gearbox), or an output flange.
