    Varvel RS / FRS / MRS type worm gearboxes.

    The RS type worm gearbox is an aluminum gearbox. It is available in sizes 28 to 150. Our range of SRS / FRS / MRS gearboxes is available in aluminum from size 28 to 85 and in cast iron from size 110 to 150.

    Available with output shafts from 14 to 55mm in diameter, we offer numerous accessories for the entire range. Each mechanical gearbox can be mounted by the gearbox's swing base (PC or PA version), by the feet (S or SA version), by an output flange, or by a torque arm.

    Worm geared motor RS

    This type of accessory allows the installation of the mechanical gearbox in a multitude of industrial or agricultural applications. We offer four types of RS gearboxes:

    • SRS: bare gearbox without input flange and without coupling, often used by distributors to assemble the gearbox or geared motor according to the requirements of different customers.
    • FRS: the FRS gearbox is supplied with the coupling and the motor input flange. It allows the mounting of an electric motor with or without brake and a mechanical variator.
    • MRS: the MRS version refers to the complete geared motor unit, supplied ready for installation.
    • RS: worm gear with input shaft. It can be equipped with a pulley, a coupling, a sprocket, or a handwheel.

    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 28 - Hollow or solid shaft with 14mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 40 - Hollow or solid shaft with 18/19/20mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 50 - Hollow or solid shaft with 24/25mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 60 - Hollow or solid shaft with 25mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 70 - Hollow or solid shaft with 28/30mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 85 - Hollow or solid shaft with 32/35mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 110 - Hollow or solid shaft with 42mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 130 - Hollow or solid shaft with 48mm diameter
    • RS/SRS/FRS/MRS 150 - Hollow or solid shaft with 55mm diameter

    RS gearboxes can accommodate all types of mechanical variators or pre-stages. In addition, we offer this gearbox range combined with a second RS gearbox, allowing us to offer ratios from 1/5 to 1/10000.

    RT / SRT / MRT worm gearboxes and geared motors

    Varvel MRT geared motor

    The range of Varvel mechanical speed reducers is also available in a square shape. This RT / SRT / FRT / MRT range is available from size 28 to 110. This range is in aluminum from size 28 to 85 and in cast iron for size 110. The design is identical to our RS gearbox range. It features a bronze worm wheel and a hardened steel worm screw.

    We offer the following gearboxes:

    • RT / SRT / FRT / MRT 28 - Hollow or male shaft with 14mm diameter
    • RT / SRT / FRT / MRT 40 - Hollow or male shaft with 18/19/20mm diameter
    • RT / SRT / FRT / MRT 50 - Hollow or male shaft with 24/25mm diameter
    • RT / SRT / FRT / MRT 60 - Hollow or male shaft with 25mm diameter
    • RT / SRT / FRT / MRT 70 - Hollow or male shaft with 28/30mm diameter
    • RT / SRT / FRT / MRT 85 - Hollow or male shaft with 32/35mm diameter
    • RT / SRT / FRT / MRT 110 - Hollow or male shaft with 42mm diameter

    This range of mechanical gearboxes can also be equipped with an output flange, a torque arm, a torque limiter, a hollow shaft protection cover, or Viton seals. Its standardized shape has the particularity of being equivalent to our competitors.

    Varvel geared motor with pre-stage

    Our range of Varvel worm gearboxes and geared motors can be equipped with a pre-stage that adds an additional reduction stage. This solution allows for ratios from 1/17.5 to 1/800. This easy-to-adapt solution is available across our entire range of worm geared motors.

    The FRA / MRA range is a pre-stage associated with our range of round RS gearboxes. The FTA / MRA range is a pre-stage associated with our range of square RT gearboxes. They can receive many accessories such as output flanges, a torque arm, a single or double male shaft, or a torque limiter. They are suitable for conveyors or other industrial applications requiring low-speed operation.
